Join publishing powerhouse Zibby Owens and author Estelle Erasmus for a fun and informative conversation about all things book publishing.

Zibby is the founder of Zibby Books, a publishing company releasing 12 books a year in upmarket, contemporary fiction and memoir, the creator and host of the Moms Don’t Have Time to Read Books podcast, and is the author of the novel Blank, which Kirkus Reviews calls, “an enjoyable read full of book industry antics and plenty of dramatic surprises.”

Estelle is an award-winning journalist, a professor of writing at New York University, and author of Writing That Gets Noticed: Find Your Voice, Become a Better Storyteller, Get Published.

Together, they will discuss how the publishing industry has shifted for authors and publishers and offer their advice on how to navigate this new publishing world.

Estelle Erasmus, author of Writing That Gets Noticed: Find Your Voice, Become a Better Storyteller, Get Publishedis an award-winning journalist, a professor of writing at New York University, a magazine editor, and the host of the Freelance Writing Direct podcast. Her work has appeared in dozens of media outlets including The New York TimesThe Washington PostWIREDHuffington Post PersonalMarie Claire and more. She has appeared on Good Morning America, Fox News with Ernie Anastos and has had her articles mentioned on The View. She received a 2023 NYU School of Professional Studies Teaching Excellence Award, a 2023 Zibby Award naming Writing That Gets Noticed the "Best Book for the Writer", is an American Society of Journalists and Authors award winner, and was a cast member in the inaugural New York City production of the Listen to Your Mother storytelling show. 

Zibby Owens is the host of the daily podcast Moms Don’t Have Time to Read Books; CEO of the Zibby Bookspublishing house; owner of Zibby’s Bookshop in Santa Monica, CA; and creator of “the Zibby-verse”, a community of book lovers and authors with retreats, events, a book club, and more. Zibby, is a regular contributor to GMA and other outlets with a weekly essay column on Substack. Her latest book, Blank, is a novel about a fortyish former literary sensation who fears she will be a one-hit wonder. Zibby also wrote Bookends: A Memoir of Love, Loss, and Literature, children’s book Princess Charming, and edited two anthologies.
