We are very excited to welcome media journalist Ayesha Rascoe to WMG for a virtual Power Hour. Ayesha will discuss her new book, HBCU MADE: A Celebration of the Black College Experience, and her career journey, which has led her to hosting NPR's Weekend Edition Sunday. HBCU MADE is the first book of its kind to feature famous alumni sharing direct accounts of their Black college experience. Curated and edited by Ayesha, the collection includes essays by a diverse and distinguished group of HBCU graduates, including Oprah Winfrey and Stacey Abrams, about the schools that nurtured, challenged, and educated them. Prior to her current role, Ayesha was a NPR White House correspondent and a regular on the NPR Politics Podcast. Before joining NPR, Ayesha spent the first decade of her career at Reuters, where she covered some of the biggest energy and environmental stories of this century, including the 2010 BP oil spill. She’s a proud graduate of Howard University.

Just announced! Ayesha will be in conversation with WMG member Keline Adams, who is the Director of DEI Initiatives at Penguin Random House. She has over two decades of experience as a social justice advocate, educator, and artist. Keline holds a Master’s degree in applied theater and is an adjunct professor at CUNY School of Professional Studies, where she co-teaches graduate level course intensives centered on anti-racism, anti-oppression, and DEIB in the workplace. She is a proud graduate of HBCU Hampton University.

This is a⚡️️️WMG Power Hour️⚡️️ event! WMG Power Hours are part of a series of events focused on diversity and inclusion that will help members learn more about our diversified society and enhance our abilities to be supportive women, colleagues, citizens, and allies.
