A note on this event:
Join WMG Programming Chair Jane Wesman at the NYU’s newly imagined Grey Art Museum for an intimate tour of Make Way for Berthe Weill. Discover the extraordinary career of the first woman modern-art dealer who worked with greats like Picasso, Modigliani, and Matisse in Paris. More than five years in the making, this exhibition is the passion project of Jane’s close friend Lynn Gumpert, the Museum’s Director. The exhibit includes 80 paintings many displayed at Weill’s gallery during the first four decades of the 20th century. After the tour, attendees are invited to gather at The Standard Hotel across the street for a post-tour cocktail chat and informal networking.
WMG’s small group gatherings are a long-standing tradition and remain one of our most popular program series. This is a wonderful way to facilitate meaningful connections among members. If there is a cost involved in this event, it will be shared equitably amongst attendees. This could mean paying for your own meal at a restaurant or contributing equally to any collective costs, such as wine, that benefit the group as a whole. If you have any specific questions, please reach out to the host directly. All member contact information can be found in the Member Directory.
